First impression is the Last impression????

“First impression is the last impression”

Wherever we go, we always hear the above given advice by our mentor or parents or guardians. But is it really true? How can anyone judge completely by just meeting for the first time?

Let’s take up some examples.

  • We met a person for the first time. The person that we met was not in a good mood because of his personal issues and so he behaved badly and didn’t communicate well. Does that mean he is a bad guy as his first impression wasn’t that good?
  • A rich person is painting walls on his own at home. The paint that he brought got over and so he went to take up new paint in the same dirty clothes.  The shopkeeper asks him," Do you have enough money to buy this paint?"  The first impression of this rich guy for that shopkeeper was totally the opposite of what he was. So can we rely on this kind of first impressions?

Judging a person is not an immediate thing but a process which takes some time. Most of your first judgements are proved wrong as we don’t know the cover story of that person.
Yet this quote is followed by every person and it is good to follow it so that we always try to keep a good impression. It’s just that it should not be followed blindly. There are chances that person whose first impression was very good is a fraud in real life and was faking it. So its advisable not to remain firm on your first judgements.

Think of the situation of that person, Judge him in your first meeting but just don’t make it as his last impression. We never know the reason for his good/bad reaction in just one meet. Always give everyone another chance to right the wrong.
